Today we will be treated to a breathtaking sunrise while enjoying a tasty breakfast in Marampata, before starting our return. During the trek, we will again pass by our old camp in Santa Rosa. However, this time we will make a brief stop to explore the village, learn about its local culture and discover the ancestral tradition of making Cambray, a sugar-based liqueur typical of the region.
Then, we will continue our descent to the Apurimac River, where we will take a well-deserved refreshing swim in its crystalline waters. Afterwards, we will resume our ascent to our campsite in Chiquisca, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for us. Finally, we will settle into our comfortable tents to rest and spend the night.
The last day of our 4 days and 3 nights tour to Choquequirao will be truly memorable. We will start early to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and start our ascent in a cool climate, admiring the breathtaking views of the majestic Apurimac Canyon until we reach Capuliyoc. There, a special celebration will await you with our emblematic Pachamanca, a traditional dish cooked by burying it underground with hot stones, which includes a delicious mix of vegetables, meats and fruits.
